JUNIOR SERIES PLUS SPRING FESTIVAL DEBUT and CHALLENGE QUALIFIERS

Non Pony Club members can compete in Classes 1a, 1b, 5, 6. Qualifiers in 5 and 6 must join the Pony Club to compete at their Area competition. Advance entries with payment by Thursday 15th September 2022. No entries on the day. All classes will be single phase (one round with timed second part). Ages as at 1 Jan 2022.

Class 1a: 8 years and under – 40cms max – genuine beginners and lead reins only. Not timed. Individuals only. Special rosettes for all entries.

Class 1b: 10 years and under – 50cms max 1st part, 55cms 2nd part timed. Individuals.
AREA 3 JUNIOR SERIES – Team and individual competition for Pony Club members only. Qualifier for Final of the Junior Series to be held on 16 October 2022 at Bishop Burton. The top 2 teams and 3 individuals in each class to qualify. This will pass down if already qualified in a team or as an individual, so long as under 12 faults. Teams of 3 or 4 (best 3 scores to count) from same Branch. Individuals will be put into teams with their own Branch. All team members also judged as individuals. The first part will not be timed – those not eliminated may continue to timed 2nd part.

Class 2: Junior Series -10 years and under (as at 1.1.22) – 60cms max 1st stage. Timed 2nd stage 65cms max.

Class 4: Junior Series -12 years and under (as at 1.1.22) – 80cms max 1st stage. Timed 2nd stage 85cms max.
PONY CLUB BARRIER ANIMAL HEALTH DEBUT AND CHALLENGE – classes 5 and 6. The first five individuals in each class who have jumped clear in the first phase/first round qualify for the Area Final on 15 January 2023 at Bishop Burton. National Finals to be held on 12/13 February 2023 at Arena UK.

Class 5: Pony Club Barrier Animal Health Debut – 80cms. No age restriction, but excluding Pony Club combination of horse/pony and rider who have represented their Branch/Centre at Area PC100 or above or been placed 1st to 3rd in PC90 at Pony Club Championships. Individuals only.

Entry fee: Class 1a, 1b: £12 per entry. All other classes £15 per competitor per class. Advance entries only.
Closing date for entries Thursday 22nd September 2022, unless classes already full. No entries accepted without payment. Full refund given if event cancelled or withdrawal made by close of entries
Entries on horsevents.co.uk and Times will be published on horsevents on Friday 23rd Sep
Rosettes for 1st to 6th individuals in all classes and to 3rd place for teams in classes 2, 3 and 4 if sufficient entries received. Prizes to the first three individuals in all classes and the winning teams in classes 2, 3 and 4.
Refreshments to be served all day.
Combination of horse/pony and rider may only jump once in each class. Horses/ponies may only compete in a maximum of 3 classes.
To be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules (Junior Series under PC Novice Show Jumping Rules with the exception in Class 1 that properly fitted grass reins are permitted for safety reasons). Hats to be tagged to the required PC standard and to be fastened and worn at all times when mounted. No jewellery allowed, including sleepers. Jackets and ties/stocks to be worn and hair below the collar must be secured appropriately in a hair net. No spurs allowed in Class
