Saturday 16th May
Debbie Bell qualified solution focused hypnotherapist
I am Debbie Bell a qualified solution focused hypnotherapist. I have helped many
riders fall back in love with their horse and enjoy riding again, whether that is feeling
safe enough to get back in the saddle or finding a calmness and regaining control
when out competing.
The solution focused approach combines hypnosis with positive psychotherapy to
help you focus on solutions rather than problems. Instead of revisiting past traumas
or difficulties, it encourages you to visualise your preferred future and work towards
achieving your goals.
This approach is particularly effective for helping you as a rider to improve your
confidence, reduce your anxiety and nerves and support you to boost your
performance, because it empowers you to tap into your own strengths and
resources, creating lasting positive change.
Outside of work, I have a horse named Derry, and we enjoy a bit of everything, from
dressage and showing to, his favourite, jumping. Hypnotherapy has greatly helped
me manage my nerves and build confidence, especially during competitions. I no
longer overthink, which has made me a better, more consistent rider.
