WORKING EQUITATION CLINIC
focused on building confidence, control and partnership through Working Equitation obstacles.
Open to all levels. Whether you’re completely new or already competing, sessions will be adapted to suit you and your horse.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE
1:1 SESSION
Individual training focused fully on you and your horse.
• Tailored coaching
• Work on specific challenges
• Ideal if you want focused progress. Ridden if it is your time 1st-3rd time I recommend 1 1/4hr sessions to allow time to go into the details. If you are on session 4 or more 1 hr is usually adequate.
SHARED SESSION (2 RIDERS).
• Session time 1 1/4hr
• Learn by watching as well as riding
• A great option if your horse benefits from downtime or another horse close by
NEW - CLINIC TO COMPETITION - Want to put your training to the test? Ready to try putting it all together?
What to expect:
Ride your WE dressage test (Walk/Trot or Novice level)
A short break to walk the course
Return to ride your Ease of Handling obstacles
Finish with your Speed Round
Scoring options:
You can choose how you’d like to take part:
Full scoring, just like a competition
Feedback only (no scores, just helpful guidance)
(Show turnout/gear not required)
All sessions will be overseen by ABWE Level 2 instructor/candidate judge Carolyn Goldstraw.
Arena setup:
To keep the day running smoothly, obstacles will be thoughtfully placed around the outside of the 60m x 25m arena and within the dressage space where they won’t interfere with your test.
Group sizes:
To avoid large gaps between your 3 phases You’ll ride in small, groups of 2–4 riders rotating your rounds. . This will help to keep the day short.
