JORVIC Championship Rules
The Jorvick Championships is an Area 4 only championships, originally created to promote dressage amongst grassroots riders and encourage individuals to push themselves to try a level higher than they usually compete at.
Each Club may send 3 entries maximum, but only one at any one level. Whilst it is preferable for clubs to run a qualifier, or a series of qualifiers, for entrants to the championship, if this is not feasible, nominated entries will be accepted providing
they meet the eligibility criteria as shown below.
Qualified combinations will ride in the Championship at the same level they qualified at.
Prelim: Neither horse nor rider cannot have been placed 1st to 3rd in any BRC qualifier or and BD competition in current or previous year at Prelim Level or higher.
Novice: Neither horse nor rider cannot have been placed 1st to 3rd in any BRC qualifier or and BD competition in current or previous year at Novice Level or higher.
Elementary: Neither horse nor rider cannot have been placed 1st to 3rd in any BRC qualifier or and BD competition in current or previous year at Elementary Level or higher.
Medium: Neither horse nor rider cannot have been placed 1st to 3rd in any BRC qualifier or and BD competition in current or previous year at Medium Level or higher.
Individual Entries
Rosettes will be presented to horses placed 1st to 3rd in each test and the overall
winner will be receive a Championship Rosette and the JORVIC Rose bowl which they may keep for 1 year.
Team of Three.
If a club enters the maximum allowed 3 entries, they will be automatically entered into the team event as well, all 3 scores will count.
Rosettes will be presented to the teams placed 1st to 3rd
