Showjumping training with 5* event rider Phil Brown @ Bishop Burton
Friday 06 December 2024
Entries close TODAY!
Join us on Sunday 29th December 2024 at Wynbury Stables West Witton, Leyburn, in their indoor arena to experience the effects of riding when you are aligned, supple and balanced.
To ride in harmony and move with your horse elevates your training, not only is it easier for your horse to follow your requests, it also clarifies your aids for the horse to understand.
Biomechanics is the work we do off the horse; to enhance the work we do on it. Following a series of off horse exercises tailored to you and your own needs, you will then ride your horse and feel the difference this has made. For those without a horse, there will be an exercise for you, so if you cannot attend with your horse, it is fine. Bringing your horse will obviously be beneficial.
This is up to 2.5hrs of on and off horse work, so please bear in mind the time of year and bring warm rugs etc while you are waiting your turn.
It will be run in a group environment during the off-horse work, then we will look at each individual rider and see the improvements made.
The day will run as follows:
1) 12pm arrive at wynbury and meet in the indoor
2) 12.15 riders will be assessed individually while riding
3) 1pm off horse biomechanic work begins
4) 2pm on horse review done
5) Q’s and A’s session
*All times are approximate.
The cost of this is just £10.00 per horse/rider includes facility hire
Spectators are welcome for free.
