We are almost half way through the year and only six months away from our tenth anniversary so what better time than now to review some statistics from the last 9½ years!
The first pie chart shows the split of entries over our lifetime so far by 4 Organisation types, namely Equestrian Centres, Riding Clubs, Pony Clubs and Other. You can see that equestrian centres account for just over half of all entries through horsevents.co.uk, but Riding Clubs currently sit in a comfortable second. One of our aims in 2020 is to increase the proportion of entries being accounted for by Riding Clubs as there are a lot of Riding Clubs in the UK and as yet they have no centrally driven authority on online entries. Stay tuned for further updates to help make managing entries as a Riding Club that much easier.
Our second graph shows the split of entries by month of the year. This presents nothing too unexpected. There is a growth in entries as the year progresses peaking in May at the main One Day Event period, with a pretty steady number of entries by month over the Summer, to then see a reduction as the year draws to a close.
Our final chart, a pie chart, shows the split of entries by show type. Obviously there are very many different types of show but we can clearly see there are some leaders in the market of online entries. Both One Day Events and dressage lead the way as both of these event types are in the main pre entry and so lend themselves well to a system of online entry. If we add Affiliated and Unaffiliated dressage together they account for over a THIRD of all online entries through horsevents.co.uk.
Hopefully you have found this dissection of the entry data from our first 9½ years interesting and it will certainley be useful to compare these with any changes over the next few years.
